In general, these function as local hubs for all DDS services. As a result, if you or your loved one receives supports and services through DDS, it’s very important to become familiar with your local regional center. Inland Regional Center: Serving the Inland Empire
The Inland Regional Center serves a relatively large geographical region, comprises of the Inland Empire. In particular, the Inland Regional Center serves DDS recipients who live in San Bernardino County and Riverside County.
With an impressive track record that includes operating for more than 50 years and serving more than 53,000 developmentally disabled clients, the Inland Regional Center maintains the highest level of care.
Services and Supports Available Through Inland Regional Center
If you are not yet receiving DDS services but you believe you may be eligible, begin the application process by contacting the Inland Regional Center. Let them know you would like to schedule an eligibility assessment. Service providers at Inland Regional Center will then conduct the initial interview and will determine whether or not you are eligible.
Those who are eligible for DDS services will then work with care coordinators at Inland Regional Center to construct an Individual Program Plan (“IPP”). This individualized outline of care and supports becomes the backbone of each person’s DDS services.
From there, DDS participants will continue to work closely with Inland Regional Center to identify, locate, and secure the services they need to execute the IPP. This can include assistance with housing, transportation, accessing medical care, employment and job training, help finding and securing assistive technology, and a range of community, social, and recreational activities.
